Preview our high elevation work

We are experts in delivering drone light shows in cold weather and high altitudes. We’ve flown over 7,000′ and under 15 degrees.

Why We Fly

Open Sky is your cold weather, high altitude drone light show expert based in Park City, Utah. Our team brings decades of winter ice structures experience to the emerging world of light shows. We live and work in one of the top global winter recreation locations in the world and love to fly when the ground is dusted in fresh powder. We consistently fly shows above 6,000 ft elevation and below freezing temps. If you are willing to stand outside to watch our shows, we are willing to fly them.

We are Experts

Our team has built ice castles at top winter destinations around the world for over 10 year attracting millions of visitors. We understand the unique conditions the winter can throw at an outdoor event and we come prepared to deliver. We perform extensive cold weather testing at high elevations (two of the most challenging variables to drone light shows) that gives us the confidence to deliver where other drone companies will not fly.

Trust Our Clients

Don’t just take our word, listen to what our happy clients have to say about our work in the cold: Steamboat, Snowmass, Sandy City. If your location enjoys winter visitors because it snows, treat them to a light display they will never forget. See what people are saying about our drone shows.

How Much Space Do I Need to Do a Drone Show?

While the drones were all controlled by a single operator, they still needed plenty of space to take off and move around safely. We need at least the size of a tennis court. So, if you’re considering putting on a drone light show, make sure you have plenty of space! The drones need to be at least five feet apart before takeoff, so for 100 drones, you would need at least 2500 square feet. But with a little planning and some creative thinking, you can give your guests an unforgettable experience.

How Long Does it Take to Setup Onsite?

If you’re looking to add an extra element of wow to your wedding or want to create a truly unique show for your corporate event, Open Sky Productions can make it happen. And the best part is that our team can have everything set up and ready to go in just 4-6 hours. On average we like to show up 4-6 hours to give our team enough time before the launch to prepare for the show. So if you’re looking to take your event to the next level, contact Open Sky Productions. We’d be happy to provide you with a free quote and help you plan an unforgettable experience.

How Long Are Drone Light Shows?

The length of a drone light show depends on the number of drones and the complexity of the show. Shows can be customized to include company logos, messages, or images. They can also be synchronized to music for a truly spectacular display. Our shows typically range from 11-13 minutes long during warm weather and 7-10 minutes long during winter weather. Winter show durations are shorter because we know that batteries don’t love the cold weather.

For longer events, we can create multiple shows that will keep your guests entertained throughout the night. Our shows are the perfect way to add excitement to any event. Contact us today to learn more about our services.

What is The Lead Time For Drone Light Shows?

An Open Sky Productions drone light show can be ready to go in as little as a week notice, but we prefer on the minimum of 4-6 weeks notice.  We work with you to choose the right location, get the permits and permissions required on-site from local authorities, etc. Our shows are always a hit, and we want to make sure your event is perfect. With our years of experience, we can make sure your Tucson event is one to remember. So what are you waiting for? Contact us today and let us help you plan an unforgettable experience.
